Bargains from Macmillian:

($2.99)

Down River by John Hart (US Kindle, B&N)

Quote:
Product Description
Down River is the winner of the 2008 Edgar Award for Best Novel.

Everything that shaped him happened near that river…. Now its banks are filled with lies and greed, shame, and murder….

John Hart’s debut, The King of Lies, was compelling and lyrical, with Janet Maslin of The New York Times declaring, “There hasn’t been a thriller as showily literate since Scott Turow came along.” Now, in Down River, Hart makes a scorching return to Rowan County, where he drives his characters to the edge, explores the dark side of human nature, and questions the fundamental power of forgiveness.
Don't Tell a Soul by David Rosenfelt (US Kindle, B&N)

Quote:
Product Description

David Rosenfelt, popular author of six Andy Carpenter mysteries, including the recent hit Play Dead, delivers his first standalone with Don’t Tell a Soul, combining the suspense and great characters of his mystery series with an unputdownable, thrilling read.
Into the Night by Janelle Denison (US Kindle, B&N)

Quote:
Product Description
A former Marine and Las Vegas Vice cop, Nathan Fox has seen it all and then some. Heading up security for The Onyx Casino is tame compared to his past, but it’s not his only job. Working for The Reliance Group is his real passion project. His current case: A missing woman. His mission: To find her. But soon Nathan must deal with a stubborn—and stunning—journalist who’s nosed her way into the investigation…and into Nathan’s fantasies.

To reporter Nicole Hutton, exposing a ruthless, twisted criminal who abuses vulnerable teens isn't just a job. In fact, this story has become very personal, especially now that she's gotten tangled up with sexy Nathan Fox. But before she can break the story, and help rescue a missing girl, she and Nathan must brave the labyrinth of Vegas's dark underbelly…where the heat simmering between them is about to burst into flames…
Looking Good Dead by Peter James (US Kindle, B&N)

Quote:
Product Description
Tom Bryce did what any decent person would do by picking up a CD that had been left behind on the train seat next him, and attempting to return it to its owner. But he soon becomes the sole witness to a vicious murder. Then his young family is threatened with their lives if he goes to the police. Supported by his wife, Kellie, he bravely makes a statement to the murder enquiry team headed by Detective Superintendent Roy Grace, a man with demons of his own - including his missing wife - to contend with. And from that moment, the killing of the Bryce family becomes a mere formality - and a grisly attraction. Kellie and Tom's deaths have already been posted on the internet. You can log on and see them on a website. They are looking good dead.

I just used the code; all I had to do was click on the "redeem a gift card" line below the gift option and enter the code there, and voila, the $2 was applied. Then I just made my purchase.

I suspect that once the credit was applied, I could have used it for any mp3, not just a $5+ album, but I don't know that for sure, as I did splurge on an expensive album.
