Unhappy My Sony ereader prs700 had a frosen screen -please help
Hello ladies and gentelmen. I need your prompt help please as I am also new to the group. I have recently purchased a Sony e-reader prs-700. Yet recently when I am trying to start-it up, the screen is frosen on the openning screen of Starting-up and does nothing but this. I also tried to press the reset button but with no help. Please try to help me as I adore this e-readre

Hi aeladib and welcome to MobileRead. I've got a Sony 505 but have always been able to get out of the screen freeze mode by hitting the reset button. Someone with more experience will come along with an answer shortly. If not, try posting your question in the Sony section.

Generic Possibilities (I don't have a PRS-700):

1. Battery's empty. Put it on charge
2. Corrupt memory card - remove any memory cards
3. You haven't reset properly - re-read manual and follow instructions precisely.

Hi aeladib and welcome to MR.

I don't have a PRS-700 but have similar problems with my PRS-600. I find that the screen unfreezes when I charge via wall charger rather than via the USB. Have you tried that?

I agree with Katti's Cat, try to use a wall/mains charger as this is the best method to bring back a fully discharged battery. If you are in the U.S. check for a used PSP charger from GameStop.
