There's a new version of Apprentice Alf's Tools, available at the usual place. Apparently fixes some issues with Topaz files.

Yes, unfortunately. Stackpole (Military non-fiction) stills seems to have a lot of topaz books.

Yes, I run across it for a lot of non-fiction stuff. Also Amazon uses it for some titles from their publishing division, specifically some titles that were originally published by Dorchester and Avalon.

Love the avatar. Wish I could think of some way to shift mine to a more Halloween look without losing the basic "Cool Wally" look.

I downloaded the tools for the very first time (erm, I think) yesterday, thanks to Adobe's carelessness with my ADE password. There were only 700 downloads. and I thought, "wow, this is not as popular as I had been led to believe." I hadn't noticed it was a brand new version.

It gets up into the tens of thousands after a short while.

But given the number of ebook readers out there, it is still a small percentage that download it.

All the rest are in danger of losing access to their purchased ebooks.

Not to my knowledge ever had a Topaz anything, I'll pass on this set - I have enough trouble installing the updates I think I do need .......

I managed to get the previous set done and they work perfectly, as if by magic.... don't want to blot my record.

[I always end up forgetting what I did the last time I did it correctly,or I do write it down - and then can't decipher what I meant the next time ... duh.]

Umm ... when I read the Tools posted page the info indicates that v6.0.8 was updated on June 10 this year.

Is this the update being referred to here? (I have already installed that version)

And I think that it's more likely that the date on the page needs updating... especially as the file dates show 2nd October 2013 as their dates...
