The texts are sourced from Gutenberg.org, but I have fully proofed all of them against the first editions and corrected about 3000 mistakes and variants.

The uncollected texts have been ocr’d and proofread from A Bibliography of William Sydney Porter (O. Henry) by Paul S. Clarkson, The Caxton Printers Ltd., 1938.

The books come with their original illustrations, photos and frontispieces, which I have newly created from the scans.

There are the usual inline tables of contents, links after each text/chapter to get back to the respective tables, and alphabetical and chronological indexes for the stories. The dates of first publication are noted.

Two more books exist, Postscripts (Harper & Brothers, 1923) and O. Henry Encore (Banks, Upshaw and Company, 1936), but I couldn’t find them anywhere. I might add them in a future update in case they appear somewhere.

Best regards,
pynch.

Amazing! I wanted to do that once, but I was overwhelmed by the amount of proofreading it would have involved. So thanks for rising to that challenge!!

Pynch, somehow I missed this when it first was posted. This is great, I love O Henry!

By the way, Open Library has "Postscripts." If you give me a week or so, I can have a *rough* proofed text to you, if you want.

Thanks for the offer, I would love that! I must have overlooked that book when I searched for scans.

Update | v.2.0 | 5 Jun 2016

Thanks to GrannyGrump, who graciously proofread it for us, I could add Postscripts, a posthumous collection of early vignettes and poems. The index has been updated.

Clarkson’s bibliography gives no dates of publication for these, unfortunately. I will add them later if I come across them anywhere else.
