Iv'e done it wrong again,asked a question before introducing myself.
I'm Brian (froggfive) got a reader for xmas, can't believe the technology has advanced so far.
Hope to swap a few post with people here.

Hi cassidym.
Thank you for the post.
I liked my 505 great.till it froze yesterday, iv'e had some great help from really nice people on here.
But unfortunately none of it worked,just waiting on an electrical charger from Amazon.
If that doesn't work,its back to the shop with it.

I like science fiction by most authors, Love Stephen King,Dean Koontz, Richard Matheson,and for fun,Terry Pratchet.
But at the moment i'm trying to get my 505 unfrozen.
This might be a silly question, but copy right,s am i allowed to upload books i have bought from the net, or would that be an infringement?

nope, unless the book is in the public domain, you don't have the right to upload it here. in general (there are exceptions, but let's try to keep it simple to start...) books enter the public domain 50 years after the death of the author in canada, and 70 years after the death of the author in the US, and most of europe. mobileread has servers in canada and in the US and we make sure to respect copyright in the country the file is hosted in, because it would be a shame to have the forum threatened by a lawsuit for copyright infringement. you can check out the huge collection of PD books we have available by clicking on "ebooks" in the blue navigation bar near the top of the page.
