But of course! I read just about everywhere including the bathroom. I also read whilst brushing my teeth -- 2 minutes is a looong time to brush and I get bored. (By the way, I love the British English word 'whilst' and use it when ever possible.)

Yes I do, as you get older everything takes longer. I don't have a bathtub & have not yet resorted to reading in the shower.

We have a big Jet tub in our bathroom, the only reason I would stop reading in it is when the water gets frigid.

It's not that I choose to read in the bathroom, I just don't put my book down unless I have no alternative (and even if I'm not holding it I'm still reading, particularly now I've got a tuff-luv case with a stand for my reader).

I have an aquapac for my reader, but I also have a technique for reading pbooks in the shower.

Entering the bathroom just isn't a reason to stop reading.

Both I and my mum can remember as children reading the labels on all the cleaning products in the bathroom when we weren't allowed to take books with us.

Sometimes I do listen to the radio instead - also have a waterproof radio

Aha! I'm NOT the only one who does that!

(trying to think of a room I haven't read in... nope - none come to mind)

Being a Kindle owner, I have even purchased books while in the bathroom. In our house the euphemism for using this particular room is "doing a little light reading".

Everyone I know reads in the bathroom. It is much more entertaining than staring at the wall Kind of related to this poll--how many people read cereal boxes, soup can labels, etc. when they are at hand and nothing else readable is? Reading is an addiction and we're all hooked.

*another hand goes up* Since all of our labelling has to be in both official languages, it is a little test of translation.

WDE.

:yet another hand in the air - hey, it's like a forest of hands here:

Be aware of bad, computer made translations! In one of our classes last year, we had to shop to find the really bad ones as an assignment. What's lying out there is scary!

Yes, yes, yes!! this is totally me!! if I'm reading a really good book, it takes me a while to get ready for work, but my teeth are super clean.... so, in other words, whilst I brush and comb and wash and sit, I READ!

YES! I'm so glad to not be weird on here!! everyone else I talk to thinks that is just bizarre-- how I read anything, everything, everywhere at every minute. turns out I was the only kid in my family to read on the pot. I don't know how I got started, but apparently it wasn't "normal." Apparently, reading cereal boxes while eating, reading shampoo bottles while in the shower... apparently those things aren't done by a lot of people. go figure!
