Move over sliced bread - The Apple tablet is here
Albert Einstein to endorse the Apple tablet: "I couldn't have derived E=m*c^2 without it" GOD offers to endorse Apple tablet, Steve Jobs says "No thanks" Garry Gygax to be guest of honor at Apple tablet announcement - Is this confirmation that the Jesus tablet will be a gaming rig? Obelisk found on Moon - Could this be the new Apple Tablet? New Apple tablet is reported to also make julienne fries I was abducted by the Apple tablet Elvis to be guest of honor at Apple tablet announcement - Is this confirmation that the Jesus tablet will be a media maven? The sun came up in the east this morning - Could this have anything to do with the Apple tablet? Last edited by Nate the great; 01-19-2010 at 11:03 AM. |

Just wondering, do all new platforms, rumored or not, get this kind of treatment when they first come out, or is this reserved for Apple?
I've noticed moderators are pretty good about keeping things open-minded and fair handed about how companies here are treated, as in discouraging the trolling/denigrating of Amazon, B&N, etc.. -is Apple somehow not on this list? |

I've just noticed that when people make derogatory comments about other platforms in other threads, a mod usually steps in. Mocking "aPple" seems to be fair game. Just wondering what the standard is. |

Nobody noticed the Apocalypse arrive. The popular answer for the 'behaviour' at the time was an imminent release for the often rumored Apple Tablet.

I think the expectation of this illusive device are now so high, no one device will ever meet it... (though, the real apple fans [those that even went to the US to get an iphone on the day of release, you know who you are!] will always be able to make up excuses...

He's not mocking Apple. He's mocking the cult of rumour that surrounds the potential Apple tablet.

Letting HarperCollins set the price isn't going to win them any customers. They'll have to do the same thing that Amazon did to iTunes. Sell at the same price and get rid of DRM.

I also don't think adding "multimedia features" to eBooks like iTunes LPs is going to be a successful selling point...esp. if they expect to charge a premium for that type of content. But, I never watch any of the added features of DVDs either, so maybe I'm not the target audience anyways :P
