Exclamation working display model prs-505... need help!

Hi all!
i'm currently trying to trade for a prs-505, and i was contacted by a guy who had won a prs-505 at a "closing for remodeling" target raffle.
he says:
"It is a working display model, which means that a few things can't be removed, but you can still put lots of stuff on it."

"Okay, I got some more information.

It is a silver Sony PRS-505 (D.E.M.O 1100)
I tried it out, and everything works perfectly, the only things that are limited are most of the 'settings'. Advanced settings, about and orientation all work fine, however. You can't change the date/time though."

I asked him to try a hard reset, and he said it didn't work!
i don't want to trade for a limited reader... is there any other way to reset the lock off the device?

thanks!

Huh? I doubt this is the case. Just plug the thing in an delete them with your PC. They may be marked as read-only so people can't delete them from the machine. But you can remove that attribute with Explorer.
