Calibre 2.68 conversion from docx to epub failed

I'm using the latest version of Calibre on Windows 10, trying to convert a docx file to epub. But the conversion always fails with an error message that I can't figure out.

TypeError: make_block() argument after * must be a sequence, not NoneType

Any help or suggestions please?

Thanks Kovidgoyal. I finally managed to resolve the problem on my own. By trial and error, I found that the problem was somehow connected with my index. By deleting the index and reconstructing it, the problem disappeared and the conversion from docx to epub went smoothly. Of course, I have no idea as to precisely what caused the problem. But now that it is resolved, I think we can mark this as a case closed.
