Number of problems you have is just mind-boggling. I need to remember to stay away from Cybook products. It might have Paperwhite-like screen but on software level...
Kobo Glo have different screen resolution than your device. You apparently trying to prepare perfectly looking, 1:1 copy of printed Manga. This is impossible with this tool and require manual preparation of entire book. Fact that you using unsupported device make it even harder. Last edited by AcidWeb; 08-20-2016 at 03:11 PM. |

No. According to specs:
Cybook Odyssey HD - 758 x 1024 Kobo Glo - 768 x 1024 Last edited by AcidWeb; 08-21-2016 at 04:18 AM. |

Wow, i only used a german ebook reader page as a reference and they listed 1024X758 as the res for the Kobo Glo... But on Wikipedia it`s really listed as 1024x768...
Well nevermind. But as the vertical res is the same i doubt it`ll make a diference if i use the Kobo Glo mode. Edit: Damnit... I just checked my images folder from my current epub and there are really files that have a higher horizontal res than 758... Is there a way to manually adjust the res setting for the kobo glo profile? Last edited by Mondblut; 08-21-2016 at 04:28 AM. |

You always can edit KCC source code.
But that is reason why Custom profile exist. To define target size manually. |

BTW: Yes, the Cybook Odyssey HD isn`t the best reader for manga... Not so much because of its display itself, but because of the horrible frontlight. It emits to much blue, which makes the manga drawings look much less "black/gray" and makes the picture lose alot of contrast. Thats why i have to play around with the settings so much.

Sry to bother you again, but is there any difference in image process settings between say the Kindle PW 1/2 profile and the Kobo Glo profile (yes i know, the target resolution is different, but besides that...) or are the pictures processed, cropped and optimised the same way? Just want to know.

Firmware 5.8.5 vastly improved manga support on Kindle.
Page tuning speed was boosted considerably. |

Faster pinch zoom and ultra fast page changing is available only in KFX format.

Are you planning to add KFX support to KCC via Kindle Previewer like jhowell did it in the KFX Output plugin for calibre?

I currently experiment with it a little. But not expect KFX support soon.
Currently public version of Amazon EpubToKFXConverter fail horribly with comic type e-books. Last edited by AcidWeb; 10-24-2016 at 08:48 AM. |
