Tablet Nook causing Calibre crash

Today I connected my Nook HD to my computer by USB and tried to use Calibre to transfer books. It never made it past reading the books on the Nook. Twice it spent 10-15 minutes scanning a lot of files on the Nook before crashing Calibre. Any ideas?

What version of Calibre are you using?
