Not sure what you mean by GPU. All these Qualcomm chips include GPU:
SMD662 -> Adreno 610 GPU
SMD636 -> Adreno 509 GPU
QCS2290 -> Adreno 702 GPU

Not sure, is this a new model: Onyx Boox Page?

Looks like Leaf2 with better CPU.

It's unfortunate that Onyx doesn't make a top-of-the-line 6" ereader.
I guess that they presume the reason people buy 6" ereaders is that they are just trying to buy the cheapest device.

My old 6" poke pro is quicker than my 7.8" nova pro. Same gen.

All Boox Tab devices and the Palma have the BOOX Super Refresh Technology (the refresh designations are also named differently), which is effected by the "unique GPU".
In terms of hardware, it consists of a Lattice CertusPro-NX (LFCPNX-100 19x19) and a Winbond W631GU6NB

Yes, it would be. The 7.8" has 70% more pixels. With the same eInk interface that makes a difference.

It isn't a GPU by any means.

It is more likely an EPDC with some logic (hw logic via a FPGA) that updates the e-ink screen based on refresh mode and whatever the FPGA holds it their memory (previous representation on what's on the screen).

The GPU pipeline happens before that, so the framebuffer always holds the last frame rendered on time, whether that frame is drawn to the e-ink screen or not is what this BSR decides to do.
