How to upgrade to 1.3 French version from 1.1 US?
How to upgrade to 1.3 French version from 1.1 US?
Can someone post a short guide and links to files? I have UniversalUpdater and PRSCustomiser. Did the font upgrade a while ago. Now what? |

to answer my own question
1. Download firmware 1.3 from here
http://rapidshare.com/files/172723086/firmware1.3.zip 2. Download Universal Updater from here https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26831 3. Unzip UniversalUpdater to "any folder". 4. Unzip firmware1.3.zip to the same "any folder" and RENAME it to "new_opt.img" 5. Copy the contents of "any folder" to an sd card and put it in the PRS-505. 6. On the PRS screen choose number 4 (you need to copy the firmware to the device) 7. When this is done choose "Flash new firmware". 8. Wait for it to complete and reboot. DONE! |
