Kindle for iPad
One feature I hope that Amazon feels compelled to add to their Kindle for iPad app (if not Kindle for PC and Kindle for Mac) is text-to-speech. Apple's iBooks application will have this, and it should be equal if not superior in quality to Kindle's own TTS.

Heck, it should be in the Kindle app period and not just the iPad

We'll see what the K3 looks like, I bet it will be quite different from current installations. Amazon has some things to look at, as far as competition goes now, since so many new units are in play.

I think the Kindle for IPad will be the same as Kindle for IPod touch. I have try Kindle for IPod touch for several weeks and I think don't think it has an text to speech feature. I think the reason that Amazon doesn't put this feature in their app because it's too big or maybe they want people who need full features of Kindle should buy Kindle ;[)

it will look great if Amazon compelled to add a "text-to-speech feature" to their Kindle for IPOD touch. Or let's just see if K3 has it.

Who knows how that will go, Amazon is afraid of the backlash from the text to speech legal hoopla. When the K2 came out with that they had major fallout. I wonder if the same thing will happen with the ipad.

It's still a legal gray area. I remember when Random House killed the TTS on 30+ Stephen King books in June (?) last year and some even asked for a refund.
