Right-to-left writing, conversion to mobi problem.
Hello,
I want to create some translation tables with Hebrew (right-to-left writing) and another language with left-to-right writing (in my case, Portuguese). I created a table like the one in this example www.lopezmoreira.net/hebtable and then converted it to MOBI file with Calibre. Then, when I open the file in my kindle, the "right-to-left" text had its direction inverted becoming something like a left-to-right text. If I open the mentioned link in my kindle, the text inversion problem does not appear, just if I convert it to MOBI file using Calibre. Does the MOBI file support such a table mixing both kinds of writing direction? Or perhaps is some implementation missed? Regards. |

@alexandrelm: The mobi6 renderer on Kindle (eInk, at least) devices doesn't support RTL.
You might have better luck with a KF8 file on KF8 capable devices, but it might still not be perfect. |
