No, the Kindle already has an upstart script to re-load the iptable ruleset.
You just have to store yours where Amazon/Lab126 stores theirs. Just keep in mind, that you can lock yourself out of the device with an error in the ruleset. Which is why I didn't make them persistent. Also - Kindles (normally) never get re-booted - they just go to sleep.
