Isn't it true that there are diminishing returns when you increase the amount you spend on headphones? Isn't it true that just because you have spent $200 on a pair of headphones doesn't mean that they are 10 times better than a pair that cost you $20?

Perhaps it depends on age? You gradually lose hearing range as you get older.

Isn't reduction on the frequency range you can hear a normal part of aging? Wouldn't that be a reason to not worry about headphones with an extremely wide range of frequency response?
