I use the second option, then either reach to the middle (I have small hands and can still do this), or do a tiny swipe.

I usually hold my H2O in my left hand, despite being right handed, I use the third option but I almost always swipe. I have fairly long fingers, so cradling my H2O in one hand and using the thumb of that hand to swipe is pretty easy.

I use touch or swipe to for page turns and it works equally well. Tried and do not like upper, lower tap zones for forward or back page turns. I will hold reader with right or left hand equally. I also use vertical swipes for page turn on Sony readers but Kobo readers will never have this option.

This is similar to how I config alreader and coolreader. The outer borders do a page forward, a backswipe to go back. Easy.
