You delete it the same way you delete anything. From the K2 User's Guide: "To open content on your Kindle, press the Home button. This displays a list of the content on
your Kindle. Move the 5-way controller up or down to underline the item you want to open and
then press the 5-way to open the item. To delete content on your Kindle, move the 5-way
controller up or down to underline the item you want to delete. Move the 5-way to the left and
then press the 5-way to complete the removal of the item."

Here is a link to the Kindle2 Users guide. You can download the pdf format to your computer.......you already have the .azw format on your Kindle.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...deId=200317150

The info you want is in chapter 2.2.

On the K1 you can just press the "backspace" button. Can you just select the book then press the joystick to the left to do the same thing?

LOL, this sounds like an intelligence test, or maybe a test of ability to follow directions. It certainly doesn't make sense written down; hopefully it makes more sense if you're actually using the device.

Just move the 5-way controller left to delete or right to view more info on the book.

Yes, this is not intuitive at all, but you do get those left and right arrows under the selected book that show that there are some actions you can take by moving left or right.

I never use samples, and only have a K1...but can't you also just choose "delete this item" from the menu when reading (and done with) the sample itself?

(This was added to the K1 with the latest firmware, so I assume it works the same on the K2)
