Linux and ARM processors

Hi Kovid,

I was looking at the SmartQ7 tablet that's on the front page of MR at the moment (thanks Nate) - price USD189 plus shipping from China.

Since this runs linux ubuntu on an ARM processor would your linux port of calibre work on it and if not how much effort would you have to expend to port it to linux running on an ARM processor.

Thanks

An installation from source will work fine on an ARM processor. See for example the Savoury project for the Kindle

Hi Kovid,

Do you think the ARM debian package shown on this page would likely work on Mer ?
