Major eink screen bug

Bad news. I was taking attendance on the eink side. My eDGe has been flipped so the eink side is on the right. I wanted to go to the next class so I hit the forward button.. but it is now the wrong button and it tried to go BACK. It did I guess and erased all my annotation !!!

I am rebooting and hope it will somehow be there. I tried to use UNDO and REDO... but it was gone.

Can someone else try this? I am pretty sure it is re-create-able.

More information. IF you go to the 2nd page of a multi-page PDF, you are FINE.

If you click BACK without going to the 2nd page first you lose the 1st page information.

And finally, the arrow buttons DO switch functionality when the eink side is flip ed. SO the BACK arrow is always the back arrow. Pretty cool.

I think I can say it is no longer a MOJOR bug as long as you FIRST go to page 2 of your multi page PDF. Then all is safe.

Please let us know what Tech Support says... I'm really interested in this, as it could be a very easy and detrimental mistake to make!

Wow. Support rocks here! I just checked my email and already have a fix. They sent me a file and I need to do some steps during a reboot to update my system. I am going to wiat to get home before I attempt the update. I am pretty sure they said something about including it in a future update as well.

Seems the directions were just how to update if you are offline. I think my problem was not really understood. I am going to call them tomorrow morning.

Maybe do the update as you were directed. The update may be an early version of the Dingo-1.13 update for the EE to fix your problem, but that they don't want going out over the regular Update mechanism yet. That's why you would be given a direct download link.

just finished the up with updating. Nothing new. Same Dingo - 1.11. Loaded today's attendance PDF and wrote the date then pressed the BACK button........... and the date disappeared. Bug still present. I have faith. I know they have always been great to work with... it will get solved soon.
