Help with Error code from Calibre that I can't decifer

I just uploaded several books to my PRS-500, I uncoupled it and it was working fine. I went upload a book I had forgotten, reinserted the USB connection and got this error. So far I've rebooted. Reinstalled the driver, rebooted again. And various variations of all that again. Still the same message. Please help. I'm sure it's something simple that I'm missing.

'calibre.devices.prs500.prstypes.Answer packets must have a length of atleast 16 bytes. Got initializer of 8 bytes.

That happens sometimes with the PRS 500. Just disconnect and re-connect it and it should go away.
