ZDNet: Microsoft to drop Desktop App from Windows 8 ARM tablets?

I wonder now if MS is going to push two distinct strategies for tablets: ARM, Metro-only tablets for consumers, and x86 full Win8 tablets for enterprise (and power users).

Obvious move, since existing Windows applications won't run on ARM tablets anyway. However this also means that W8 devices are not going to look very compelling compared to the existing Android tablets and the iPad.
