very odd as it just worked for me on the first shot..opened ADE, plugged in the vox, ADE asked if I wanted to authorize it, to which I said yes. I then moved over one my kobo DRM'd books over to the alkido folder, where I could see the free books on that was already on it.. Disconnected the vox and opened up alkido in the apps list and lo and behold fatal alliance, which opened as expected. from the bookshelf, I went into settings and I coudl see that Adobe DRM showed my email address as expected.

So I'm not sure why people are having problems..

I'm keeping it. It has already provided me with hours of entertainment between reading these boards and then installing and trying things on it. Perhaps I'll even get around to reading a book or two on it!

It's a keeper for me. Bought it mainly as a reader but have found myself surfing with it and playing a few games. Other than a bug with Rdio it's worked like a charm.

It's a keeper, I guess.

Well, I wasn't too sure if I'd keep it at first. With all the bad reviews online and the slow processor it took me a while to warm to it.
But since Christmas I've bought it an expanded memory card and a nice leather case so I guess I'm committed now.
I'll feel better when I get a s/w update fixing the battery and power issues but I guess it's earned its place between my laptop and my smartphone.

Seems like more than half the people this thread is attracting at this point ate either returning or not sure. But, I suppose completely happy and not needing any kind of help, wouldn't even have looked for this forum.

Yes, I'm definitely keeping mine. (Besides, it was also a gift.) I wanted an eReader and I got so much more. Sure, there are a few kinks that still need straightening out and features to be added, but that's to be expected with a brand-new product.
