How to locally stream videos to kindle fire?

I have some video files I would like to put on the kindle fire, any way I could stream it onto there?

Do you mean stream to the Fire, or do you mean put them on the Fire?

You can do both, but they are very different things.

I've used skifta and the avia media player for dlna-compatible streaming (such as windows media player). Both free in the amazon appstore.

You may also need mobo or another video player depending on what format your videos are in.

The Fire's browser is pretty capable and Flash-enabled, so most common Internet streaming methods should work.

You could upload the video to Youtube or UStream or similar, or you could stream from a local computer with VLC, or such.

Use es explorer to set up shares..ie got to share your pc folder. Then just select file on shared drive and select moboplayer and it should stream

That more "remote loading" than streaming, and it does often work, but depends heavily on the size/type of the file and your network and hard drive performance. Nice and easy when it works, though.
