PRS-T1 Synchronize reading position like Whispersync?

I am late to the T1 party, having waited for the clearance sales, so maybe someone has the answer to this question:

Can the T1 communicate reading positions like the 950 and the android reader app? This works something like the Kindle's Whispersync.

This was a feature added to the 950 through a subsequent firmware update.

No, not yet... The 950 can speak to the Android app and also to the Reader for PC/Mac app. It's really nice. I was hoping to keep the 950 and T1 in sync wirelessly. It's disappointing the this feature is not possible with the T1. It also cannot auto-wireless deliver periodicals like the 950 can. You have to manually download from the Reader Store each issue. It's easy but would be nicer to be automatic. I hope someday they have a firmware update but who knows.

Thanks. I was hoping that I overlooked something. Funny how some things moved forward significantly from the 950 and others...not so much... It will be interesting to see what comes after the T1 assuming Sony stays in the e-reader market.
