Opus - An audio tool
So there has been a lot of noise about getting a voip ready audio tool for the kindle. This isn't that, but it could prove helpful.

I suppose now I should put my codec2 ports up here too, which can encode speech at 1.2kbps. Codec2 is being used for p2p voip telephones in 3rd world countries, and also for narrow-band amateur radio communication. I encoded a MIT lecture with it, and it worked quite well.
But for music, it doesn't work. Perhaps opus will be better for music. |

I envisioned this doing voip at super low bw.
If you have better All the better. I reckon it probably handles most stuff fairly decently looking at the specs, quite the swiss army knife.' I also just noticed that this was built Static Static, accidentally, but all the better |
