It has been a while since I last looked for it. The movie trailer inspired me to look again. I would highly recommend it.

Should I have heard of it? The only "Winter's Tale" I'm familiar with is Shakespeare's play of that name.

This is a rich, magical book (in fact, a kind of magical realism would best describe it, in my opinion), and it is also rich in language. It's a challenging, demanding, exhilarating novel.

I would suggest that a sample be downloaded. If you fall in love with the writing (as I did), then you will love it. If it seems exasperating and demanding (merely personal preference), then I would avoid it.

I loved this book.

Wonderful book. I have the version linked in the OP and it has a lot more scan errors than I would have liked, but was readable. Gosh, now I'm in the mood for some vanilla lens arrows.
