Point News button at a different folder or app

I'd like to have the News button point to FBReader, or at least the "Programs" directory on my CF card. I've tried fiddling around with making a symbolic link from the command line, but no luck so far. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?

You can't point it directly to an application. But you can manually edit /mnt/settings/registry/registry.xml and adjust it there to point wherever you'd like.

Ooh... editing the registry folder! I've been wanting an excuse to have to reflash my iLiad.

Thanks, I'll try that. But not until after my term papers are written.

Actually, with the way the registry is now setup, if you edit it incorrectly, it will restore a working version. You will loose all your settings, but you won't have to reflash.
