Not sure if this is old but my kindle still shows 1.0.4 as the latest fw.

Some people here reported having 1.0.8 on their new Kindles.

Did anyone look for differences? I checked the kernel sources, and it appears the only changes here is added support for PVI's display controller (PVI-6001A).

// 1.0: Kindle 1.0.0 through 1.0.4 (Apollo only).
// 1.1: Kindle 1.0.5 & later (Apollo/PVI-6001A).

I got mine last week. It had 1.0.4. Looks like I got the update on Mon (25th). I haven't noticed anything, but I'm still learning the finer aspects to it.

I recieved my Kindle on May 23... and it had 1.0.8 on it.

Mine came with 1.0.8. I don't know what it looked like without it, so I can't say if there are any differences.
