Periodicals - where to get them

Hey Y'all,

I had a Laptop Pmagazine subscription for a year shipping from the US to Germany, and honestly, I was more than dissatisfied with the 1-2 month delay with every issue. Sometimes I get photography mags from the UK at the train station. But those, too have a delay of at least 1 month. I've written to the publisher of the photo mag whether they would provide pdfs or such as I don't care about additional CDs going with the mags. The reply was expectedly clear: no.

I know about Zinio, but I dislike reading my mags on the PC. I'd rather have them on my reader which is not possible with zinio files.

Key question: is there any other distributor who sells magazine subscriptions in a non proprietary format???

I had a subscription with Zinio as well. Those guys really have to AT THE VERY LEAST adapt a DRM ebook format compatible with e-ink readers.

Can someone tell them to wake up to 21st century already?

That sounds great. I'll have to check that out. Let's see what else they've got.

That's funny. I never would have thought they really care about customer opinion (well, at least not really)

Offering an online form and actually reviewing what was entered are two different things. But we can hope!
