Using Calibre content server to iPhone for pdb

I've been happily transferring drm'd ereader files to my iPhone using Stanza and the Calibre content server (is that what it's called? using my WiFi to connect to the Calibre library). Even though Calibre couldn't read the files, it was transferring them fine.

Today, I find that while I can see those files in Stanza on the iPhone, the option to download them to the phone is no longer available.

Is this a new thing? Can someone help me get my files to my phone please?

Thank you in advance.

as far as I know, nothing has changed in calibre as far as serving up PDB files is concerned. Did you recently update Stanza?

Thanks for the quick answer. I can't remember if I updated Stanza recently or not, but I'll go and follow up on that.

I know this thread is from a long time ago but I know what the solution is.

The xml being served by Calibre says:

"chemical/x-pdb" instead of "application/ereader"

for the file type pdb. Stanza doesn't recognize the application type.

To fix it, in the mime.types file now being distributed in Calibre, remove the two lines:

chemical/x-pdb ent pdb
application/vnd.palm oprc pdb pqa

and add the line:

application/ereader pdb

The download button will re-appear in Stanza.
