New low-cost eBook Reader

Just a proposal....

what do you all think if we could make a MobileRead Ebook maybe with the style of Papyrus concept?

Here the link of that concept: http://www.thegreenergrass.org/2008/04/papyrus.html

MobileRead could get into business and contribute to explode eBook readers market!

Whats your opinion? ;-)

Sure! Love it! Call me in three-to-five years when the display tech catches up with the Papyrus proposal!

In the meantime, I'm gonna just sit back and enjoy reading on my Cybook.

the picture is faked and the claims are false so what would you suggest to do with this. It is showing a claimed e-Ink at $100 and color with a touch screen.

I think they are selling pipe dreams at this point.

There are other technologies closer (or already available) to making a serious run for greater e-book adoption than this one.

That's for sure but at least we can't forget designers make concept projects just to make something different...it's well known concept are never the exact same thing of the real product except in some cases...

For example starting from this concept I can produce a question by myself: Philips BV is already working and experimenting, even with no official prototype, on some low cost materials which can be used as semiconductors and stuffs...and as I heard somewhere it should be cheaper thant LCDs and more ecological...but there's still the speculation on earning selling LCDs....

That's all....

Ciao,
Luigi
