Judging A Book By Its Cover (?)
“A hound it was, an enormous coal-black hound, but not such a hound as mortal eyes have ever seen.”
― Arthur Conan Doyle, The Hound of the Baskervilles When I saw this listing on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/HOUND-BASKERVI...125701&sr=1-12), the cover art brought this quote immediately to mind. One has to wonder if the publisher intended droll humor, or was clueless? Words fail me ..... |

That's too funny; and makes me not want to read it. Suddenly, I'm having a hard time taking the book seriously.

That is hilarious! Someone confused the Hound of the Baskervilles with the Hound of the Bassets!

I really want to meet the person who made that decision, I really do. |

One wonders if the compiler thinks that the "hound" in the tales is a faithful companion who helps Sherlock Holmes solve crimes.

He could have at least used a bloodhound, but I suppose he would be saving that for Zoltan, Hound of Dracula. It's a shame you can't search Amazon by publisher, I bet he's got some other good ones too.

"...standing over Hugo and plucking at his throat, there stood a foul thing, a great, black beast, shaped like a hound, yet larger than any hound that ever mortal eye has rested upon."
