All Hallow's Read recommendations

People on twitter are trying to establish a new tradition of exchanging books at Halloween, and are calling it All Hallow's Read (See http://allhallowsread.com/ or #AllHallowsRead on twitter).

What scary ebooks would you recommend for All Hallow's Read?
(note that recommendations should be suitable for gifting i.e transferable or no-DRM)

I recently read The Turn of the Screw by Henry James
