Viewing HTML files on the iLiad

I'm a little disappointed in the iLiad's ability to view HTML files.

I recently download this Latin text from the Internet:

http://www.thelatinlibrary.com/cicero/cael.shtml

saved it as a local HTML file on my PC, transferred it to the iLiad, and tried to view it.

What happened was that it came up on the iLiad in a microscopically small font, and increasing the font size to the maximum only resulted in it being barely readable.

I know that I could easily enough convert it to a MobiPocket book and read it that way, but does anyone know why the iLiad is struggling so much with this file? It's not all that long.

I'll try viewing it in FBReader and see if that works any better.

It is known that the iliad has a crappy HTML reader.
It is just enough to support some books in HTML. But I always converted my HTML books in PDF with bookmaker.

The text is large enough in a regular browser, but it references a style sheet you probably didn't get when you downloaded. Maybe the iLiad has some very strange matching style sheet, or maybe it does something very stupid when it can't find a missing style sheet. I'd recommend taking out the style markup. There isn't that much to deal with.

(And I'd recommend using FBReader, too.)

Have you tried FBReader? It works for me and it supports Unicode, in case there is some Greek interspersed

Oops! I didn't read all your message. Sorry!
