You're fast!

This RC2 release (0609) fixes a regression bug in RC1 due to which in some cases, the right and bottom part of PDF pages were not visible. A draft User Manual for each product is available for download too.

well, it seems the bug has been solved - I must admit that I didn't install the RC1, because of the bug reports, but RC2 works fine. Page turning in some more difficult scanned pdfs is noticeably faster, there is the zoom icon in the status bar.

I don't see any difference in the contrast - some people commented on the RC1 release that contrast is improved - could be that my eyesight is just not as sensitive (if that's the right word for it).

I just installed it. It works fine. It is slower in the landscape mode. Note taking is still painfull. I already gave up note taking feature. I have to touch the lower end of the arrow to go to next page in the landscape mode. Reader does not recognize other parts of the arrow.

The only thing left is the cont. reading experince. Once cont. reading feature is added, I am not going to need any other reader for the next 5 years.

May/Can someone of Irex tell us something about the rumour "chapter 11" in this thread?

Yeah, it downloads just fine. Having said that, it is quite a basic manual. Useful on your first day with the device, but once you have been using the 1000 for an hour or two you will have taught yourself pretty much all that the many contains. There are certainly no secret tricks or profound revelations in there, it is more of a "getting started" guide - and for that it certainly does a very good job.

Try downloading it again. The earlier version (at the time of your post) was a pdf file. It has been replaced with a zip file.
