Wie kann man pdf's kleiner machen

Ich habe ja auch einige PDF Handbücher auf meinem Reader. Was mir da auffällt ist, dass die Dateien doch recht groß sind.
Kann man die in irgendein Format wandeln, damit sie nicht soviel Speicherplatz belegen?

Wenn ich mir einen normalen Roman mit ca. 500 Seiten anschaue, der hat gerade mal 1,1 MB und ein PDF mit 300 Seiten 19,5 MB. Warum sind die so groß?

Du versuchen kannst die Auflösung auf 166pdi reduzieren.
Am meisten Platz sparst Du allerdings auf jeden Fall, wenn Du die Dateien mit OCR in ein anderes Format umwandelst

Wenn du den Acrobat (nicht den Reader!) hast,gibt es dort eine Funktion zum Verkleinern der Datei. Damit werden mehrfach auftauchende Grafiken nur noch einmal berechnet, insgesamt wird die Darstellung der Grafiken etwas schlechter.
Es kann aber unglaublich helfen, Platz zu sparen. Ich habe so psfs mit 900 KB auf 300-400 KB reduzieren können.
