News is e-mailed as a simple text, yet sends to the device as a news issue

Hi there, I'm having a problem with the news function. I scheduled Chile's El Mercurio to download and e-mail every day, which works fine, but only relatively: what calibre sends is a piece of text with a bunch of links to the different news at the beginning. But when I connect my Kindle with the USB cable, calibre sends to it a properly-formatted POBI file that looks much nicer and organised, and is recognised as a news issue by my device. Is this correct or a bug? Thanks, and I hope I made myself clear.

What kind of kindle do you have? If it's a Fire (and this applies to the Touch as far as I know) emailing results in the pdoc tag being attached and you get what you are seeing, while USB transfer preserves the metadata that tell the kindle to use the newsreader. there is no workaround for this.
