I suggest you try this copy of 1984 to convert using html2lrf and see how you get on.

But, plain text files just do not lend themselves to an easy way to automatically detect a new chapter -- it's all text. A marked-up file in HTML is simply easier to deal with. |

yes its like this, plain text, no word chapter, im using book designer with chapter detection - no problem but i want something like calibre under linux:
těžce vykročil ke dveřím. 2 Když už sahal na kliku, všiml si, že nechal na stole otevřený deník. Pryč s Velkým bratrem! s pohnul, musel by je setřást. 3 Winstonovi se zdálo o matce. Muselo mu být deset nebo jedenáct, když jeho matka zmizela. Last edited by yuki86; 05-04-2009 at 03:56 PM. |

The only solution is to use the text markup to mark the chapters.

Hi Yuki,
I had the same problem. If you're converting from text, the answer is actually really simple. Just "underline" the chapter headings by putting a row of dashes underneath and the conversion program will pick it up. like this: Chapter1 ---------- <content> Chapter 2 ----------- more information and a demo file here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32702 Last edited by calfaile; 05-06-2009 at 01:25 AM. |
