I find 20% is routine, 30% and above is harder to find and much less frequent.

Chas, clicking on your link, I see that Square Trade offers warranties for Kindle, Sony and nook, but I don't see anything for any of the others. Are you sure that you can buy a JBL warranty from Square Trade?

PS - I see that a 3-year warranty for Miscellaneous Electronics priced at $79.99 is $13.99. Is that what you have in mind?

They will pretty much sell you anything you want. I was able to get my Nook covered for 40% less than listed (then less 30% with coupon) when I asked and said I didn't need damage coverage.

I would email or call them and tell them you plan to use the Misc. Electronics for a JBL and I am sure they will confirm that is what you can do. Then make sure you add the receipt on line and confirm that the item is a JBL. That way you won't see any backpedaling in 2-3 years if there is a repair issue.

Just curious, since you bought it at Newegg, why not get the warranty from them?
It should be no problem if you still have an email with the order number. I'm pretty
sure they could date the extention as well as anyone else would.

Get the item first, in your hands, and make sure you have no initial problems. Squaretrade allows 90 days after purchase and you don't want a warranty on something you don't keep.

Newegg is a great company and I have been buying from them since they started. However, their warranty costs about the same for 1 year extra as the Squaretrade version charges for 2 years extra. Also, Squaretrade has a very trouble-free system for dealing with problems with shipping paid both ways. Lastly, Squaretrade starts immediately and provides additional coverage over and above the basic warranty from the manufacturer.
