That is still not working for me on Kindle 2 or Kindle DXG

OK. That does work for me in in title sort order, but not in author sort order. Maybe only Kindle 3 users are worthy of having that feature.

For clarity and completeness, what does Kindle 3 do in collections and most recent sort orders? Those are the only ones that I use.

In "most recent first" and "collections" sort orders, it just does a search within the books.

This is when it drives me nut that they got rid of the number keys. Because I so need the empty space on top there.

That probably saved them a whopping 25c of mfgr cost.
