Unhappy Error communicating with the device

I first downloaded Calibre 18 months ago and I love it. Then I received a Nook Colour and loved being able to sync my collection on it. Two months ago, I switched to a Nook HD, and was able to move books to and read on it very well.

Two days ago I added a micro SD chip and began moving my large ebook collection to it. Everything was going well, then all of a sudden it started telling me that there was an error communicating with the device. I still see my nook in Windows and it is appearing as a device in Calibre.

Does any one know why this is happening and how I can resolve this?
Thanks in advance for any help.
