Calibre on Android
Is there any chance of seeing Calibre as an Android app? Android is becoming a valid option as a primary os and even has some laptops in the works, it is no longer just for phones. I would love to have Calibre on my Asus Transformer, and I am sure that there are other folks out there who feel the same way.

I think it is unlikely in the near future. As well as the issues around porting the actual calibre code, there is also the issue of porting the very large number of other packages on which calibre depends. Also I do not think there are yet a significant number of Androd systems around with enough resources to run Calibre effectively.
Of course if you want to have a go I am sure Kovid would support you |
