Ich hab mir gerade Dead(ish) von unserem australischen Member nomesque runtergeladen. Ansonsten ist gerade eher Oktoberfest als Lesen angesagt .

Auch wenn On-Topic momentan out ist:

Lese gerade (unter einer dicken Staubschicht ausgegraben) "Das Silberkomplott" von Reinhard Deutsch.

Als ich die Folie abnahm, flog mir schon ein Flyer mit anderen Büchern des Verlags entgegen - ob ich denn auch interessiert sei an Ufos, Prophezeihungen , Geheimbünde, Esoterik, Verschwörungen und was weiss ich noch für Bulldung.
Sagt viel aus darüber, was man von dem Buch erwarten kann
Bin jetzt bei der Hälfte und weiß immer noch nicht was genau das "Silberkomplott" war - sehr langatmig also. Wie oben angedeutet, darf man so ein Buch nicht für voll nehmen. Liefert aber einige interessante Hintergrund-Informationen über Entstehung und Geschichte des Geldes.

Lese gerade Infinite Jest (auf deutsch: Unendlicher Spaß) von David Foster Wallace auf Englisch. Interessanterweise hat es in englisch etwa 570 Seiten weniger und (kommen wir zum Kaufargument) kostet 27€ weniger. Hab bis jetzt jedoch nur das Vorwort gelesen, doch das erhöht die Vorfreude enorm

Vermutlich ist der englische Humor einfach deutlich geballter.. Halt uns bitte auf dem Laufenden, wie Dir das Buch gefällt, ich hatte mir das nämlich auch schon auf die Merkliste gesetzt....

Da schließ ich mich doch direkt an, Infinite Jest steht ebenso auf meiner Liste, wie auch 2666 und wenn Paolini dazu kommt, der Schluß seines Eragon-Zyklusses.

Ich bin gerade mit Couch Surfing von Thacker, Brian fertig geworden. Das war eines der Bücher die es bei Libreka beim Downloadday gab. Eigentlich wollte ich nur mal den DRM-workflow testen, habe dann aber das ganze Buch auf dem Reader gelesen. Es macht definitiv Lust auf Urlaub.
Angefangen habe ich auch noch "Das verlorene Labyrinth" von Kate Mosse, aber da komme ich nicht richtig in die Geschichte rein, ich verliere immer nach ca. 10 Min die Lust zu lesen.

Nachdem ich die ersten Teile der Serie gelesen habe bin ich derzeit
noch mit Sunborn von J.A. Carver beschäftigt.

Ansonsten habe ich zu freien Zeiten momentan eher laut vorzulesen ...
