hi.
I have Kobo Touch 2.0 .I try to convert Kobo touch into an android and... fail!!
And I lost the SD stored original system image...

I am looking for original system image. Please if possible, give me original system image.

Hello! The internal SD Card of my kobo touch is broken. Anyone can send me the image so i can create a new compatible SD Card?
My KOBO TOUCH reader is not seen by the computer.
The USB port is OK. The USB cable is OK. Help Me please.

@J_Bravo: Sorry, from that I can't tell which model Touch you have. There are three: N905, N905B ad N905C. Only the latter two have an internal SD card that can be written to. They use different images, so I need to know which you have. The model number should be on the end of the device with the USB port.

That's almost definitely an N905B Touch, so, PM sent. But somewhere on the end it should actually say "Model: N905B".

hello i also have a kobo touch model N905C i am stuck on sleeping mode try both methods of factory reset to no avail i would like an image of the internal sd card to try to fix the issue thanks

ty now i have a new issue i got the win32diskinstaller app but i cant read my old sd card at all when i put it in the reader it says i must reformat it so i wont be able to get my serial number from there and there is a few number on my kobo so # 1 where do i find the serial number i need #2 where do i need to put it (i am kinda of new at this so if there is a tutorial somewhere ill gladly follow it ) thanks a million

The serial number is in the image at offset 0x200. You can use a binary editor to see and change it. To get your correct serial number, you can create an image from the card and read that with the binary editor. I've done that but it's a lot of work. If you have a Linux or Mac machine around, you can probably mount the card in that and access the user partition to read the version file. If you are a calibre user and use my Kobo Utilities plugin to backup the database and other files, then you can get the serial number from that. The serial number is actually in the file name created for the backup.

But, overall, I don't know how much it matters. The serial number is used for some things, but it isn't validated once in use. Most of the images have the serial number set to all zeros and I think most people don't fix it. I haven't heard any issues arising from this.

As I stated in response to the earlier PM, there is no image available for the N905 Touch. These have fixed internal memory, which makes creating an image hard. But, more importantly, there is no way to restore an image if you had one.

my Kobo Touch don't works also
Hallo all, dear people,
I need also a SD image for my Kobo Touch (factory date: 17/12/2012).
It is died: I tried all reset modes but in doesn't respond.
I have a copy of internal memory, made when it was working, but now the PC (win10 or XUbuntu 14) don't see the reader via USB; but first I need to reload the operative system (I think) to understand if the problem is in the internal SD memory.

Sorry, I'm not sure from the date which model of the Touch that is. It is probably the N905C, but, I'm not sure. The model number is printed on the end of the device near the USB port. Can you check what it is there? Then I can supply the image.
