Kindle, Calibre and Archived Books

Hi All:

I asked this question over on the Kindle forum and they thought maybe I should ask it here instead, so here goes:

I use Calibre to manage my library, in doing so I change the titles to match my naming convention. In the last few days I have about 62 books that both the Kindle and K4PC are saying are in my archives but are in fact on both the kindle and in the K4PC directory. Is there any way to get Amazon to stop showing these books as being in my archive and recognize that they are on the device?? I should mention these files were not named recently, they have always had their names but suddenly Amazon is saying they are in the archive also, although they are on the device.

I doubt it since the Kindle probably recognizes personal documents by their file paths and/or metadata, both of which you changed. You can probably delete them from archived items if it bothers you.

I did that with the free ones but I do not want to delete the ones I have paid for. I wonder what is causing this and why doesn't it affect all the books I've purchased from Amazon.
