I Want To Downgrade To 1.9.14
Hi,
I was wondering if I could get some help with this. My KT has gotten more slow with each firmware upgrade and I'm not liking the latest update. No matter how much I reboot ie factory reset it doesn't help. I would like to put it back to 1.9.14. Can someone please link me to where to where I get it from and how and where I put it on my KT for it to work? Sorry if my question is dumb but I'm not good with this sort of thing. lol Any help would be appreciated. |

Sorry I missed your question. Look at post #3 in the following thread.

One concern I would have is the Sqlite database on the Kobo. Remember changes HAVE occurred to this with the upgrades; schema AND data changes.
I would be quite concerned over the stability of downgrading to an earlier firmware release in that the "upgrade" procedure would not have been designed to "downgrade" the database to the corresponding version for the firmware you are installing. I think the only safe way would be do a factory reset, and then apply the fimrware version you wanted. Of course you would then be caught, possibly being unable to perform registration (and the population of the users table) due to the fact that Kobo Desktop itself would want to re-upgrade to the 2.x level. |

I did a reboot of the entire KT and then I added the 1.9.14 firmware, then some ebooks and so far no issues.
