Help me point Calibre to the Library

I think I may have accidentally pointed Calibre to a different folder to look for my library. I've confirmed that my library with all my books still exists where it always has, but Calibre is empty.

Search your computer for 'Metadata.db'

one of those is in the folder for the real library.
On the Library Icon: right-click: Create-Switch: Point it to the folder you found

This is strange; I did what you instructed and most of my library is back. All books added since June are missing. Any idea where they could be?

My first thought was that they might be in the first library, but you've said that was empty, so there's obviously a loading problem somewhere. Do a search on your PC to make sure they're there and that they're in the 'proper' library (if they're not, move them into the proper one). Then just reload.

do you have a third Library? the search you used, should show it.

once you find it, Switch to it: Select All books (ctrl-A): right-click: Copy-to Library <the real one> (you can choose to delete the books from this current one as part of the copy, making it into a Move)

The other possibility, is you damaged the database. Right click the Library Icon and run the Library Maintenance tool
