Books Cheaper in Kobobooks.

So often I find that Kobo is selling books cheaper than Sony is, so I've been buying through Kobo.

Just wondering why that is.

It will depend on the books. Any book from most of the big publishers should be priced exactly the same no matter who you buy from as they can't be discounted due to agency pricing. As for the books that can be discounted Sony doesn't usually discount as well as Kobo, B&N or Amazon in my experience (although it's been a while since I've even looked at Sony's store at all). It's of course up to the individual retailer how much they're willing to discount.

InkMesh is a nice site, but generally I find much of the pricing they quote innacurate when you actually go to the individual sites.

I find some books cheaper on Sony. Some cheaper on Kobo. Some cheaper on Amazon.

No one source has the best price. So shop carefully.

One plae I have seen a tremendous price difference is the James Bond books (original Ian Fleming), Sony is VERY much higher than Amazon.

Is anyone here an Aussie and accessing the Sony reader store just wondering how to do it, if it's possible? I tend to buy most of my books from Kobo or B&N but the other day I came across one that was cheaper at the sony reader store but being from Australia it wouldn't let me register an account even though I own a PRS650
